Quintessential Snub Nose: The Heritage Roscoe Pocket .38 [VIDEO]

We’ve already published a review of the still-new Heritage Manufacturing Roscoe revolver. You can read it here. Travis is certainly a fan, and why wouldn’t he be? When Jeremy and I got a Roscoe (one with a firing pin) out to the range this week, we loved it, too.

Yes, they make one with a 3-inch barrel too, but the little 2-inch snubbie just seems like the way to go here. It’s a classic noir-ish 5-rounder that slips easily into your jeans or trenchcoat pocket. It’s got beautiful wood grips, nice blueing and is rated for +p .38 ammo. Oh, and MSRP is is a meere $363.

It will probably sell for well under that at retail eventually, but right now, they’re in high demand. Even at full boat, though, they’re worth every penny.

Specifications:

Caliber: .38 Special (+P)
Capacity: 5 rounds
Barrel length: 2.0 inches
Overall length: 6.5 inches
Overall height: 4.8 inches
Overall width: 1.4 inches
Weight: 22 ounces (unloaded)
MSRP: $363.99

Update – El Presidente Donald John Trump has announced he shall return, like Patton did in the Philippines, to Butler, Pa., to finish the rally that was so rudely interrupted by an attempted assassination :

Looks like Heritage is trying to compete with Rock Island Armory (Phillippine manufacturer) and possibly even Taurus in the inexpensive snubbie revolver market.

    Options are good.

    How good is the trigger?
