Patriot Ordnance Factory USA has just announced a new rifle called the P-15 BASE. The P-15 is designed to be an affordable carbine that’s still packed full of top features. I won’t say it’s cheap — it’s retailing for about $950 — but it offers a lot of value for the price and is very competitive with other quality builds.
The P-15 BASE
The P-15 BASE rifle is all American made and is built around a POF-USA Mil-spec P-15 receiver set. It uses their E2 16.5” match-grade 5.56×45 NATO barrel and a mid length gas system. POF pairs that up with a Mil-Spec BCG featuring POF’s Patented Roller Cam Pin. A Mil-spec Anti-tilt 6 Position Buffer Tube with a Mission First Tactical Minimalist Retractable Stock is standard.
The P-15 BASE comes with black hard anodized receivers and handguard and a black Nitride coated barrel. The rifle uses a 15” M-LOK Handguard with MIL-STD 1913 rail at the 12 o’clock position and multiple M-LOK mounting interfaces for accessories at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. Other features include a Mil-Spec trigger trigger group, A2 flash hider and A2 pistol grip. The P-15 ships with a 30 round Mission First Tactical magazine where permitted. A 10 round mag version is available for states that require it as well, and there’s also a California compliant version.
MSRP on the P-15 BASE is $999. That’s a solid price for what you’re getting. It’s a basic, lightweight, functional rifle made from quality materials.
