We’ve been fans of the Dessert Tech Trek-22 chassis since we first shot one. It takes your standard non-takedown Ruger 10/22 action and barrel and transforms it into a fun, functional, attachment-ready bullpup that’s under 27 inches long.
Now Desert Tech has gone all the way with the new Trek-22 complete rifle. It has a free-floated, suppressor-ready 18-inch threaded barrel and an optimized trigger with a 2.25-pound pull weight. It’s available in OD, gray and tactical peanut butter and Desert Tech says the rifles will begin shipping in September.

$750 for a 22 caliber rifle… I think not. I can buy 3 10-22s and a 5hitload of ammo for that price.
I like the general idea, but a 10-22 with the BX trigger pack is not bad, but bull-pupping it with a long trigger bar will mostly kill the decent feel of the BX trigger group…
