Bushmaster Firearms Re-Releases the BA50 .50 BMG Long Range Precision Rifle

Ever since Bushmaster Firearms was reborn in the hands of Franklin Armory, they’ve been blending their product releases between introducing new designs and bringing back old classics. The latest release is another one of the classics, but it’s a big one. Quite literally, it’s the biggest gun Bushmaster produces.

The re-introduced BA50 is a long range precision rifle chambered for the fan favorite .50 BMG round.

The Bushmaster BA50

The Bushmaster BA50 is a massive rifle that holds 10 rounds of .50 Browning BMG rounds in a detachable magazine. It operates from a left side mounted bolt handle, and comes with a slew of premium features.  The BA50 is fitted with a premium 29-inch heavy barrel equipped with a tank-like 3-port muzzle brake. The barrel is fitted to a 7076 aluminum alloy upper receiver that has a full length Picatinny rail for mounting optics. The lower receiver is made from aircraft grade aluminum. The massive bolt is 9310 steel. You can get the BA50 is either black or flat dark earth Cerakote finishes.

A Magpul PRS GEN3 Precision-Adjustable Stock is fitted to the BA50’s receiver and it uses an ERGO Tactical Super Ambi pistol grip. With an overall length of almost 57 inches and an empty weight of almost 30 pounds, this isn’t a shoulder fired weapon, so Bushmaster equips the BA50 with a heavy duty GG&G LCB-3 heavy duty tactical bipod.

Bushmaster is offering the BA50 for both tactical and long range precision shooting and they’re saying that it will shoot sub MOA groups.
