Gun owners are getting exactly what they voted for with President Donald Trump. There’s now an accounting for government malfeasance in process and he’s turned up the receipts.
President Trump is delivering on his promise to break open the secretive spending habits of government officials. It’s exactly what voters wanted and, frankly, expected. The results, however, have been jaw-dropping. Gun control proponents have been smashing open the government piggy bank to swipe dollars for their pet gun control projects.
That’s right. Gun control advocates were using taxpayer dollars to fund their campaigns to rob Americans of their Constitutionally-protected rights to keep and bear arms. That’s adding insult to injury after the Biden-Harris administration installed a taxpayer-funded office dedicated to pushing gun control. It was staffed by a former lobbyist for Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun control group funded by antigun billionaire Michael Bloomberg. That office effectively closed up in the days leading up to President Trump taking office as its staff all resigned.
It turns out, though, that billions of Bloomberg bucks and even more money from George and Alexander Soros weren’t enough for gun control advocates. They wanted to fund the effort to cut off Second Amendment rights straight from Americans’ wallets – including tax dollars paid by gun owners themselves.
Lee Williams uncovered, in a post to Shooting News Weekly, what many have suspected for years. Except it had been covered up in layers of bureaucracy and farmed out as “grants” through the U.S. Agency for International Development. That’s the federal agency that’s drawn the first and damning examination by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.
The Receipts
Williams’ deep dive into USAID money showed that Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, along with Giffords Courage to Fight Gun Violence, were primary beneficiaries of tax dollars to fund their gun control efforts. That money was funneled through something called NEO Philanthropy, which also funneled money to support diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.
The flow chart of money laundering operation is a labyrinth of middlemen, which reports that no tax dollars were spent. But that’s not true. A little digging shows that nearly $7.5 million were funneled to Bloomberg’s Everytown, mostly through donations paid to NEO Philanthropy, including $245,000 from the The Board Of Trustees Of The Leland Stanford Junior University, $150,000 from the Tides Center (a George Soros organization), $12,000 from Civicus World Alliance, $300,000 from the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and a whopping $6,748,000 from Fidelity Investments Charitable Gift Fund.
This maze of money shuffling is being mapped out by DataRepublican.com. That site offers tools to track how tax dollars have been moved to gun control groups. That includes the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, which took in $12,809,748 in contributions, which started with the Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening reporting $186,143739 in taxpayer funds that was moved through many as five layers of “charities” to fund their efforts. Bloomberg’s March for Our Lives, showed $1,407,153 in donations that started with $165,142,739 in taxpayer funds.
Sandy Hook Promise, a Connecticut-based gun control group, reported $1,417 049 us taxpayer funds in their coffers, according to DataRepublican.com. Everytown’s mapping shows $31,802,725 in contributions with $4,963,214 in grants. DataRepublican.com shows Giffords with $8,292,189 in contributions, that started with the same Consortium for Election and Political Process Strengthening tax dollars, moving through, again, at least five layers of charities.
Look Who’s Talking
This unmasking of citizens’ tax dollars being put to work against their constitutional rights is raising the ire of those who – surprise, surprise – want to use more tax dollars to further limit Second Amendment rights. U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) claims President Trump’s efforts to bring accountability to taxpayer expenditures is “attempting to seize control of power, and for corrupt purposes,” according to The Hill. U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said “This illegal, unconstitutional interference with congressional power is threatening lives all over the world,” according to another report in The Hill.
Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.” Those politicians crowing about the secretive manipulation of tax dollars against the interests – and the very rights protected by the Constitution – should be a five-alarm bell for taxpayers, not just gun owners. It might also pull back the veil of why these same lawmakers rail against the Dickey Amendment that states, “none of the funds made available for injury prevention and control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention may be used to advocate or promote gun control.” NSSF reported in 2022 that an investigative report by The Reload showed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was likely violating that law as recently as then.
A federal judge temporarily blocked Elon Musk’s DOGE from accessing government systems to dig up the wasteful and damaging money laundering of tax dollars after 19 Democratic state attorneys general, led by gun control advocate New York State Attorney General Letitia James, sued.
To pull another line from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.” Or in this case – Washington, D.C.

I’m shocked at how little reporting there was around this scam. John Podesta was Hillary’s campaign chairman in 2016. He had put together an investment group for “green” projects. They disbanded the group after Hillary lost. OBVIOUSLY, their profitability was tied to his allies being in control of the executive branch of government.

Although there have been for a long time misuses of our tax dollars through various administrations, most administrations didn’t touch on the abuse because it was basically hidden from them buried deep in an un-elected bureaucracy disguised as various things from ‘foreign aid’ to ‘health care’ to ‘education’ to ‘anti-crime’ and others.
But the the focus on the radical left wing agenda started in earnest with Johnson with ‘welfare’ and raising a generation to depend on government for sustainability, the Gun Control Act of 1968 as an attempt to squelch a rising black faction dissent from being armed, and suddenly it became wrong to speak out against the waste of tax payer dollars being spent in foreign countries and the media was used to squelch first amendment speech of dissenting voices. And Johnson realized that USAID (created by JFK in 1961) could be a useful tool for funneling money to various places hidden as ‘foreign aid’ so the money started to flow from USAID in increasing amounts and although supposed to have been under the state department Johnson took steps to entrench a bureaucracy that would operate it as though it was its own ‘sovereign’ separate from government oversight and here enters the CIA and black-budget funding as well for regime changes in other countries.
Then it costed along but low key bits and pieces here and there, the system was now on automatic and it happened behind the scenes over seen and managed by thousands of unelected mini-bearucrats.
Then it picked up with Clinton who’s administration funded more and Biden behind the scenes made gun control a budget thing by including the 1994 AWB in an overall omnibus bill for anti-crime. Then it kinda coasted some quietly funding various ‘quiet’ left-wing causes programs disguised as non-profits under a very broad ‘human rights’ label through appropriations slipped into various compromise bills. Then it coasted a little more but funding an increasing number of start-up radical left wing causes, and trans in foreign countries suddenly had, what we call today, ‘gender affirming care’ funded through ‘foreign aid’ .
Then came Obama who used tax dollars in secret to fund radical left wing causes by a deceptive ‘foreign aid’ category to make the public think it meant feeding starving children with flies on their faces when in reality less then 5% of the money (like under Biden-Harris) went for feeding the needy and most went to fund things like, for example, the foundations for full blown DEI and into ‘corporations and non-profits and think tanks’ focused on socially engineering society into a ‘managed state’ by media manipulation and hiring practices and products and separation into more polarized sectors of society. Under Obama we got our first taste of socialism on a large scale being rammed down the tax payers throats with ‘Obama care’ by an underlying idea that about ~12-14 million people didn’t have health care (although they actually did through other existing government programs like medicade over 90% of those ~12-14 million were already using) and so the tax payer would be required to cough up the money to pay for Obamacare plus continue funding the programs these people already had health care under.
Then came Biden-Harris who turned it on full blast.
Then came Trump 2 to tear it all down now knowing where the ‘skeletons are buried’ from his first term, the scams and gifting and theft and waste and fraud and abuse, with tax payer dollars that have been letting the radical left win causes get fat-n-happy by feeding on the tax-dollar piggy bank making the people behind these radical left wing causes and democrats, the leaderships, rich and having comfortable lives.

Fidelity Investments Charitable Gift Fund is a donor driven charitable fund. IOW, Fidelity management has nothing to do with it. It allows people who have Fidelity accounts to make charitable donations directly from their accounts. You tell Fidelity who to give YOUR money to and how much, and as long as the recipient has a valid five-oh-whatever charitable designation from the IRS, they take the money from your account, dump it into the Fund, then send that amount on.
It can be used to disguise who is donating to who, but it’s also very convenient. That money never shows up on your 1099, which makes life much simpler, as opposed to getting the money from Fidelity, writing a check, getting a receipt, then entering that on Schedule B, deducting it off the 1040, and maintaining all the docs for years.
It is quite normal for govts to use taxpayer money against the taxparer.
