It’s going to be very difficult to defend the Supreme Court if they deny cert in Snope and Duncan. Our side will feel like we aren’t allowed to win even when we’re clearly right and the other side’s arguments are laughable hackery.
This is especially true as such a denial would force thousands of Californians to give up their property (standard capacity magazines) or become felons overnight.
I imagine if Trump (or any other President for that matter) ignores SCOTUS after that, the response from much of the pro-Second Amendment side will be, “Good. They wouldn’t defend our rights, why should we give a shit about them being ignored?”
That would be a mistake, because SCOTUS is an important backstop. Even if you like Trump, imagine what a President Newsom or AOC could/would do with that kind of unchecked power. But I’d certainly understand the contempt for the institution.
It’s hard to defend a Court that doesn’t defend you when it really counts. I hope they do the right thing, for our sake and theirs.

if they grant cert and deliver a solid ruling many states will ignore it.
Even if they take the cases, Roberts and ACB, and possibly Kavanaugh, will side with the liberals. SCOTUS now exists to protect the rights of the government…not the people’s.
