When it comes to tactical knives, Spartan Blades puts out some of the best in the industry. That’s because their designers are folks who have been there, done that, and know what works. Their latest release is the Spartan-Ronin Torii. It’s a collaboration between Spartan Blades and Tu Lam of Ronin Tactics.
The Torii is a tribute to the Green Berets that the Spartan and Ronin folks served with at Torii Station in Okinawa, Japan. It’s made to honor the legacy of the renowned C-1-1 CIF (CINC’s Extremist Force) unit. Spartan says that the unit is known for its tactical ingenuity, and expertise in close quarters battle (CQB).

“Engineered for CQB and self defense”
Piercing wounds are generally regarded as more effective than cuts, especially in a small knife like this. On “Knife or Death” (where Tu Lam is one of the hosts) I don’t think a “fighting” knife with no crossguard and a tiny finger groove would even pass the preliminary safety testing to enter the course.
