Primary Arms just announced a new optic, the Gen 2 version of their Classic Series 24mm Mini Reflex Sight. Primary Arms has been known for their optics with very solid features at affordable prices and it looks like the Gen 2 Mini Reflex Sight follows the same playbook.
Classic Series 24mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2
The Classic Series 24mm Mini Reflex Sight Gen 2 is a mouthful to say, so I’m just going to refer to it as the Gen 2 from here on. The Gen 2 is made of 6061-T6 aluminum and has a hardcoat black anodized finish. It’s powered by a single bottom-mounted CR2032 lithium battery that gives you between 25,000 to 50,000 hours of battery life, depending on the setting.
There are 10 brightness settings available and the Gen 2 is night vision compatible. I’m not a huge fan of bottom-mounted batteries, but with that much battery life, it isn’t like you’ll need to change the battery often.
The Gen 2 has a 3 MOA red dot and a 24x17mm lens, which should make it fast and easy to get on target. It uses the popular 507c/RMR mounting footprint so it will fit a wide variety of carry and competition pistols.
The Gen 2 weighs only .98 ounces, too so it won’t bog down your carry gun. The Gen 2 has an MSRP of just $149.99 and is backed by a lifetime warranty.
