I’m a DAKA fan. Magpul’s DAKA pouches are a fantastic way to carry and keep your gear organized. I have one dedicated to toting all of my suppressor wrenches, end caps and assorted geegaws. The latest additions to Magpul’s DAKA gear are three new soft rifle cases.
While hard cases are great for protection – and sometimes necessary for travel – they are often bulky and heavy. We wanted to maintain the customized fit our GRID provides, but make it more mobile and lightweight. The DAKA Soft Cases still allow users to customize their layouts inside the case without all the bulk associated with thick, heavy hard cases. These new DAKA Soft Cases are constructed of our proprietary DAKA GRIT material, and feature lockable YKK Aquaguard zippers making the cases lightweight, durable, secure, and weather resistant. Inside the case, firearms and other gear are secured via a MOLLE-style slotted base system. Adding to the storage capabilities of the DAKA Soft Cases are the cases’ various pockets, and an ID slot and dot matrix grid on the case’s exterior. To carry the case, two tuckable attachment plates allow for QD, Paraclip, MASH Hook, or similar connecting devices to attach a sling.
The cases come in three sizes: 35ʺ, 44ʺ, and 53ʺ; the Soft Cases can nest inside the Hard Cases (if the GRID system is removed).
