B5 Systems has been making top quality furniture for the AR platform for quite a while. Now they’re showing some love to the AK platform as well with the release of a full line of grips, stocks, and handguards for Mikhail Kalashnikov’s venerable platform as well.
AK the B5 Way
B5 Systems has three different buttstocks available for the AK, two folding and one fixed. The folders come in either 4.5 or 5.5mm versions to accommodate different trunion sizes. They feature a collapsible length of pull adjustment, an optic rail cutout, a cushioned nonslip buttpad, fixed sling mounts and steel anti-rotational QD mounts. They’re made from a durable composite material and are available in black, OD green, and plum colors. The fixed stock version has pretty much the same features and is make for stamped AKM type receivers. MSRP for all three models is $125.00.
The AK M-LOK Handguard is a drop-in upgrade for your standard AKM pattern stamped AKs. Its made from the same durable composite material as B5’s other products, and features improved ergonomics over military style AK handguards. It comes with M-LOK attachment points, and an aggressive texture on the lower handguard. The B5 handguards include an integral stainless steel heat shield. They’re available in black, OD green, and plum colors and sell for $40.00 a set.
To finish off your stock set, B5 has the AK P-Grip. This is a drop in upgrade over your standard AK grip. Once again its made from the same polymer as the other components and available in black, OD green,and Plum. offers a drop-in upgrade for the standard AK pistol grip. The B5 AK P-grip has an aggressive texture and an increased vertical angle, ,ore inline with accepted 21st century ergonomics. The grip sells for just $20.
