Dead Air Silencers’ New Modular, Multi-Use Mojave 45 Suppressor

Dead Air Silencers Mojave 45

There’s literally never been a better time to buy a suppressor. Just check out the latest wait times for eForm 4 filers. According to Silencer Shop’s tracking numbers, the median days for approval is running two day. Yes, that’s two…days. And that’s the median. There are lots of anecdotal examples out there of buyers getting same day approval on their can purchases.

If you don’t own a suppressor, a modular, do-all design is a great place to start. It’s a good way to buy once, cry once while being adaptable to a huge range of guns — both handguns and long guns — to cover most, if not all of your needs.

Dead Air Silencers Mojave 45

Along those lines, Dead Air Silencers has just announced their new modular Mojave 45 suppressor a more widely adaptable take on their earlier Mojave 9 can. Read on . . .

Dead Air Silencers, manufacturer of the next evolution and quiet purpose-built suppressors on the market today, expands the company’s .45 Auto suppressor lineup for 2025 with the release of the all-new Mojave 45 modular suppressor.

The Mojave 45 is built around Dead Air’s patent-pending Triskelion Gas Management System. This innovative system, which employs additive manufacturing to achieve the advanced baffling configuration, not only delivers a stronger and lighter suppressor, but also one that is optimally tuned for enhanced sound reduction at the muzzle and the ear. Backpressure and felt recoil are greatly reduced compared to traditional baffle designs, ensuring a cleaner shooting experience with less wear on your firearm. Add in the overall lighter weight and engineered rearward weight bias for enhanced balance and you have a suppressor that not only offers a softer, more pleasing sound and tone but also is more natural in the hand, promoting accuracy and reducing fatigue.

Compatible with multiple calibers and platforms, and suitable for use on tilt and fixed barrels across select full-auto and semi-auto systems, the Mojave 45, like its Mojave 9 predecessor, presents a modular design. Adding or removing the front module allows the user to prioritize size/weight and sound reduction for changing needs and applications. What’s more, these changes can be made quickly in the field without tools and is compatible with Dead Air’s P-series adapters.

Is this actually a suppressor in the sound energy reduction sense or simply a ‘frequency attenuator’ thing (i.e. “a softer, more pleasing sound”) to lop of the peaks of the sound energy? Sound energy reduction and ‘frequency attenuator’ are two different things.

There web site doesn’t list a sound energy reduction rating (dB) for this one, then in the marketing hype its says “a softer, more pleasing sound” which is a brain-hearing perception thing and extremely subjective without anything to say ‘how’ in dBA which is the rating used to rate such subjectivity of ‘how loud or soft or pleasing a sound is’.
