C&H Precision just announced a new compact pistol optic designed for concealed carry, home defense and duty use, the EDC Enclosed, or EDC-EN for short. The EDC-EN has an impressive set of features and is being offered at a very competitive price.
EDC Enclosed Features
The EDC-EN is a 1x enclosed emitter design with a 21mm lens. It’s parallax free to 33 yards and features a 2.5 MOA dot inside a 34 MOA circle. It will be available in both red or green dot multi-reticle versions. The EDC-EN has 10 Levels of brightness including two that are night vision compatible. It’s powered by one CR 1620 3V Lithium battery and has a 50,000 hour battery life. As if that’s not long enough, it has an auto shut off after 5 minutes of inactivity and a motion controlled shake to wake feature to further extend battery life.
The body of the EDC-EN is CNC machined from one piece body of aircraft aluminum. It’s 100% Shockproof and ipx7 waterproof rated. The enclosed emitter protect against dirt, dust, and debris. The optic uses a common RMSc footprint so should be compatible with a variety of mounts and slide cuts. MSRP on the EDC-EN is $275.00. A circle + dot reticle in green in an RMSc format would be very cool. But when I checked the website, the only option was red. What gives?
Got a reply from the company . . . green not available at this time, and no ETA on when it will be. Rats.
Is it *only* circle/dot? No ability to change the reticle?
If so– and I can’t find anything to the contrary– no thanks.
