NOT SMART: Newlywed Road Rager Bullies Wrong Driver in Indy [VIDEO]

The moment Gavin Dasaur’s life ended in Indy. Screencap by Boch via X

A hot-tempered motorist named Gavin Dasaur had big feelings about the driver of a large pickup truck in traffic in Indianapolis on Tuesday evening.ย  So he did what any hot-tempered road raging bully with a death wish did: he hopped out of his car with his pistol, then punched the truck owner’s door while screaming “You wanna play with me?!?”

Things escalated when he raised his pistol to brandish it at the truck’s driver while continuing to run his mouth with the same question. Maybe he got off on scaring people, showing them just how close they came to death.

Instead, the truck’s driver, seeing an enraged man with a gun threatening him, let his own Roscoe do the talking. He scored three solid hits, shutting down Dasaur’s operating system. For good.

What’s more, there’s video from another motorist of the confrontation that has sent Mr. Dasaur to the grave.

The 29-year-old hothead had just gotten married two weeks prior. Does anyone know if life insurance pays if you get yourself killed while committing a felony?

WRTV in Indy has details:

One person is dead after a shooting on Indy’s southeast side Tuesday night.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of E. Thompson Road and S. Emerson Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located a person with gunshot injuries lying in the middle of the road. A gun was lying near the man shot.

That man, 29-year-old Gavin Dasaur, died at the scene.

Dasaur and his wife, Viviana ZaMora, had just gotten married on June 29, a little over two weeks before his death.

IMPD said one person was detained and questioned at the scene, but that person was later released.

This appears not only to be an open-and-shut case, but Mr. Dasaur’s estate could also be sued by his victim to recover the costs of a new window and bodywork, to say nothing of the pain and mental anguish of the truck’s driver and any passengers.

That would be a shame.

Very good shoot. I’m not sure I would have waited until he brought the gun up though. Seeing him with a gun in his hand approaching, and then aggressing on my vehicle? Consider yourself bought and paid for. It’s a shame the truck’s driver won’t be enjoying classical music again any time soon though.

    1. He switched the gun to his left hand. The driver of the truck couldnโ€™t see that so when Mr. Einstein raised his right hand he got shot three times in the face. Read somewhere else that the aggressors family is devastated that he was โ€œmurderedโ€.

And “big feelings”… I laughed out loud. That’s what they called it at my kids’ school when they were in kindergarten.

A real shame he gets a dose of tinnitus for his trouble… ๐Ÿ™

    1. Yep. Moved out to Fairland after 56 years of Southside Indy. It’s full of thieves and crackheads now….

    Solid good shoot.

Don’t act like an asshole, you won’t be treated like the asshole you are…

  4. He was in the wrong, but man how do yall sit behind a screen a praise and laugh at someone getting shot, human is screwed on so many levels

    1. I celebrate when the good guys win. Criminals trying to threaten or kill innocents forfeit their right to sympathy or compassion.

Coming from an area where justified use of force is ruinously expensive fuck that guy and anyone that enables that behavior and worse.

    2. It’s easy and should be a lesson to all the ragers in the world that sometimes it just isn’t worth it.

  5. The driver of the white truck probably instigated it. People donโ€™t just get mad, hop out the car yelling โ€œyou wanna play with meโ€ for nothing.

I mean you were going too slow (in their minds) so it wasn’t nothing….. not particularly reasonable but assholes exist.

        1. It always cracks me up how these d-bags have zero time to spare two seconds of their life to allow someone in front of them, yet as soon as they feel disrespected, they suddenly have all the time in the world to stop and get out of their vehicle to yell at someone. Hopefully he didn’t have any children. Imagine growing up knowing that was your dad.

    1. Nah, he was a coward and got out with a pistol to intimidate the other guy and not get punched in the face.

Get out and throw hands or get out and and shoot

      Pick one son

  6. This video/story should a part of the curriculum of every drivers education class in the nation. A lesson learned in the classroom could save a life down the road.

I have to wonder if the deceased was a future abusive husband. The defender in the truck may have done a huge favor for the widow. Of course the widow would probably never recognize that.

“I have to wonder if the deceased was a future abusive husband.”

He absolutely had a very short fuse, and quite frankly, him off this ‘mortal coil’ with the rest of us living on it bothers me not one whit.

He was the living embodiment of “Fucked around, and found out.”

(At least for the very short remainder of his life…)

  8. uncommon_sense

I wonder if the deceased registered the fact that the defender had raised a handgun to his face. And if that fact did register, I wonder if the deceased was too enraged to care or if he had a split second of panic as the defender pulled the trigger.

“And if that fact did register,…”

      Not for long. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In the spirit of ‘FA,AFO”, “He played, and he paid.”

Perhaps the spread of that video may cool some future hot-head off a bit.

      (Let’s be serious, not a fucking chance. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

  10. The guy exercised poor judgment and it got him killed. He was being dangerous and irresponsible with a firearm in hand.

However, if you take joy in seeing people die, you shouldn’t own a gun, either. Life is precious, even when it’s squandered by a stupid decision.

Protecting yourself might include harming others in self-defense but it doesn’t require cruelty to the dead.

    1. Those who force others to act in self defense forfeit the right to sympathy and instead become an example of what not to do to their fellow man.
