Reacting to a call by 14 perennially anti-gun House Democrats that President Donald Trump remove Kash Patel as acting head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms suggested the group “pound sand.”
In their March 3 letter, these Democrats asserted that since Congress passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act in June 2022 under the Biden administration, “violent crime hit an almost 50-year low, and we’ve seen the single largest homicide rate drop in recent history.”
“Apparently,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “everybody who signed that letter slept through last year’s stunning revelation that the FBI’s initial report of a 1.7 percent decrease in violent crime from 2021 to 2022 was quietly adjusted to show a 4.5 percent increase. House Oversight Chair James Comer launched a probe of this revision last October.
“Maybe these Democrats are concerned that Patel will investigate possible abuses the agency allegedly committed during the Biden years,” Gottlieb added. “While they complain how ‘it is unconscionable that someone without experience fighting crime, responding to mass shootings or confronting domestic terrorism has been named as ATF’s Acting Director,’ under Patel’s leadership at FBI, the agency has just caught its third ‘Most Wanted’ fugitive since President Trump took office.
“Capitol Hill Democrats are delighted to have an ATF which gets mixed up in colossal debacles like ‘Operation Fast and Furious,’” he continued, “or cancelling federal firearms licenses because a small dealer might make a technical paperwork error. Yet, where have these Democrats been when their colleagues have championed legislation making it tougher for law-abiding citizens to exercise their full rights under the Second Amendment? Where were they when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were advocating for gun bans and restrictions on the rights of young adults? They were right there pushing for and cheering such infringements.
“As for Patel’s qualifications,” Gottlieb noted, “he has held various positions within the Justice Department, and they know it. Democrats want someone at ATF who will ‘faithfully administer laws that keep Americans safe.’ We expect Patel to do exactly that. We’re wondering if that’s what really concerns the people who signed the letter.”
The Biden administration overstated the number of jobs created in the US during the second quarter [of 2022] by more than 1 million, according to a report issued by the Philadelphia Fed.
The U.S. added 818,000 fewer jobs than previously estimated from March 2023 to March 2024, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which released the data about 30 minutes after the scheduled 10 a.m. EDT release.
“There won’t be any inflation.”
“Look, inflation will be transitory. It’ll be fine.”
“Let’s approve additional trillions in spending after the Covid spending bonanza. That’s responsible. Trust us.”
“We fixed the inflation we said we wouldn’t have.”
“The border is secure. There is no border crisis, but diversity is our strength, racist.”
“We need a bill from Congress to fix the border crisis. This is Trump’s fault.”
“We aren’t a cult.”
They have zero respect for the American people. All of their policies are based on lies. They will do and say anything to have control. Every day they wake up and think how can I get more power. They’ve been propping up the economy with deficit spending. Guess who that benefits and who is harmed. It’s the opposite of what Democrats say. Look at the data.
And now they are openly supporting terrorism. Again. (See Tesla and swatting.)
Clueless Dems: “Why don’t people like us anymore?”
Bidens job numbers were fake all around.

This is a big deal, but there were so many fires started by the Puppet Admin that this will soon be forgotten (if anyone ever knew about it in the first place). So many lies…
Imagine what this country could accomplish if we didn’t have to spend so much time putting out these fires and fighting against the deep state, media, and judiciary. Democrats hate America.
once when my sister (r.i.p.) wanted to watch “my friend flicka” i bit her on the leg.
it didn’t work.
Article. 1. Section. 9
“No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.”
All anti-gun laws are illegal. Secretary Patel is well aware of the rules and I believe will follow them.
dems showing their racism. Again. Still.
Kash Patel is the perfect man for the job. ‘Nuff said.
“Crime Stats Still Show a Decline Since 2020
By Lori Robertson
Posted on October 23, 2024
Quick Take
Crime statistics compiled by the FBI and other sources show an increase in violent crime, notably murders, in 2020 and a decline since. A revision to the FBI data this year doesn’t change that overall trend, despite claims made on social media and by the Trump campaign to the contrary.
As we have reported, other sources of crime stats show the same trend. The Major Cities Chiefs Association reports, with the addition of New York City’s statistics, show a 9.1% decrease in the number of murders in 70 large U.S. cities from 2020 to 2023, and a further decline for the first half of 2024. As of early this month, AH Datalytics, an independent criminal justice data analysis group, reported a 17.9% decrease in murders in more than 250 U.S. cities so far this year, compared with the same points in 2023.“

@Miner Strawman, the dates in the article you’re replying to are from 2021 to 2022. Your “fact check” uses the year 2020 to pretend like there wasn’t a rise in violent crime. You wouldn’t understand that because you don’t want to understand that. You merely seek out anything that confirms your bias. Meanwhile serious people want the truth. The truth is that there WAS an increase from 2021. Of course there was a decrease from 2020. 2020 was the year of the fiery but mostly violent St. Floyd Democrat-promoted lovefest.
“the dates in the article you’re replying to are from 2021 to 2022“
It seems you’re having trouble ciphering the numbers, here’s the pertinent point from the article showing the stats continue to the first half of 2024:
“show a 9.1% decrease in the number of murders in 70 large U.S. cities from 2020 to 2023, and a further decline for the first half of 2024“
Perhaps President Musk moved a little too quickly in abolishing the department of education…
The dept. of education is a failure. You prove that by not knowing who the president actually is.
“The dept. of education is a failure.”
Has the Dept of Ed been focused on giving retards superhuman levels of confidence? If so, they’ve been a runaway success.
Here is a direct quote copied from the above article:
…last year’s stunning revelation that the FBI’s initial report of a 1.7 percent decrease in violent crime from 2021 to 2022 was quietly adjusted to show a 4.5 percent increase.
Maybe I’m missing something. Please point out where it says 2020.
You didn’t miss anything, it was more deceptive posting and cherry picking from Minner49er
“Perhaps President Musk moved a little too quickly in abolishing the department of education”
100% false Minner49er.
stop trolling.
