ATF under DOJ actually can help target which dealers need to be inspected, ensure when there are violations of the law, there’s coordination between ATF and DOJ to prosecute dealers who are violating the law. So if you want to defang all of that and effectively allow dealers to go unregulated, what would you do? You’d take it out of DOJ and put it into Treasury. And that’s why [Trump] is doing that.

As far as more guns being sold, there are ballpark 100 million more guns in America today than in 1990, and the violent crime rate is roughly one-half today as it was in 1990.
Clearly, more guns in America means less violent crime.
(Just by looking at the scrunched-up face on that bitter old bat, she hasn’t experienced a ‘sweet release’ in a long, long time… 🙂 )

Project 2025 has nothing to do with “Guns Sold and Concealed Carry Reciprocity”.
This is the usual anti-gun imaginary projection.

That’s 100% false. 90% of guns recovered in crime are stolen and that makes criminals responsible for 90% of guns recovered in crime. Plus, there are not “more gun dealers than we have McDonald’s and Starbucks combined” – this has come up before from Brady, its based on incorrect and outdated information that placed the number of gun dealers that are no longer in business, having gone out of business over many years, in the totals for active gun dealers thus falsely inflating the number of gun dealers.
Then this bit of deception that Brady and other anti-gun groups derive from use of magical math no one else on earth knows about….. this

Notice though, how they didn’t say ‘children’. They got caught in that lie previously, so they started using ‘kids’ which can mean children or any offspring of any age not children where a parent or someone else can refer to them as ‘kids’ because they are younger than the person referring to them. ‘kids’ is not an exact term, it doesn’t have an age boundary like ‘children’ does. For ‘children’ its those under age 18 because age 18 and older are considered adults and that’s how they got caught in their lie previously as they were deceptively including age 18 – 20 as ‘children’, with those removed the number one killer of children is and still remains as it has for the last 60 years, car accident. For ‘kids’ age 18 and up there is actually not a specific number one killer as the cause of death but rather a combination with ‘unintentional injury (not gun related), suicide by other than gun, and medical reasons’. Heck, defective glass table tops alone result in over 30,000 deaths annually for ‘kids’
Not 18 to 20, 18 to *26*, that’s when ‘Obama Care’ says kids age out…

When Brady and other anti-gun orgs throw out numbers you can pretty much bet they are false through their magical math thinking. For example, they don’t want you to know their numbers of ‘homicide’ are not all murder and around (up to) 60% valid legal self defense (justified homicide) but the way they phrase it without qualification makes it perceived as ‘murder gun violence’ and the term ‘gun violence’ is made up to imply a ‘crisis’ that doesn’t actually exist because in reality there is no such thing as ‘gun violence’ but rather its ‘people violence’ but they want you to focus on ‘gun’ when in reality other weapons are used for violent criminal acts out numbering gun use 1,000 to 0.5
