Brace Yourselves: SB Tactical Drops the New SBA5 Pistol Brace

It looks like the industry is feeling pretty good about the prospects of the ATF’s pistol brace rule being shot down because I saw a couple new options at SHOT and now SB Tactical just announced a new model of their own, the SBA5.

The SBA5 works on a regular 5-position carbine buffer tube and is easily adjustable for length. It has a larger arm hole like the original SV15 brace and a an adjustable nylon strap. There’s a side-mounted QD sling swivel socket as well. It’s available in both FDE and black and has an MSRP of $124.99.

Even though the press release just dropped on these, I’ve seen guys talking about them in the online forums so they’re out there already. They have a nice PDW vibe to them and look like a solid option for you large format pistol builds as long as the Brace injunction is in place, and hopefully that gets ruled on soon and gets shot down for good.
