Diamondback Unveils the New SDR .357 Revolver

If you’re a revolver fan, this is a great time to be alive. In addition to longtime makers of great wheelguns like Ruger, Smith, Taurus, Heritage and (once again) Colt, there are lots of great offerings by companies newer to the revolver business like Kimber, Henry, SAR and others.

The latest entrant is Diamondback Fiearms with their new SDR (self defense revolver) .357 small frame revolver. It’s a six-rounder with fiber optic sights and an MSRP of $777. Here’s what Diamonback has to say . . .

Diamondback Firearms, creator of high-quality firearms and industry-leading components, is excited to introduce the Diamondback SDR (Self Defense Revolver), a .357 magnum, 6-shot, single and double action revolver. The SDR will be unveiled and showcased during the 2024 Shot Show Media Range Day.

The SDR has a 6-round capacity with a push button cylinder release. This release allows for faster loading and casing ejection. The revolver comes standard with a fixed orange fiber optic front sight, dovetail fiber optic green rear sight, and a fully captured crane link and cylinder assembly. The SDR hits the mark with its stainless steel 2-inch barrel and solid stainless-steel frame. Weighing in at just over 21 ounces, the SDR comes standard with Diamondback branded rubber Hogue grips for a solid feel when shooting.

The SDR is the perfect revolver for the conceal carry owner looking to have maximum firepower in the trusted revolver platform. Diamondback has used their decades of manufacturing experience to craft the perfect revolver for the conceal carry market.

Diamondback Firearms cut their teeth in the industry by producing the ultra-compact DB380 and DB9 pistols and are also well known for high-quality AR-15 rifles,” says Grant Hoskins, Marketing Manager for Diamondback America. “This year, we are working hard to expand our product line and bring new designs to the market. The SDR is the latest product in the Diamondback lineup and helps expand Diamondback‘s product offerings into new areas.”

With a budget friendly MSRP of just $777, the Diamondback SDR is sure to be a popular choice for first-time owners and firearms enthusiast alike. Diamondback will officially launch the SDR at Shot Show Media Day 2024. The SDR is expected to reach dealer shelves Q2 of 2024.
